Notifications — Bell Notifications and Admin Management

OpenHRApp has a built-in notification system that keeps you informed about important events via bell notifications and email. This guide covers how notifications work and how admins can manage them.

Understanding the Notification Bell

You'll see a bell icon in the top header bar. A red badge shows your unread notification count.

Click the bell to see your recent notifications. Each notification shows:

Notifications are automatically marked as read when you view them.

Admin Notification Management

Admins and HR can access the Notifications page from the sidebar to send and manage notifications.

How to Send Custom Notifications
  1. Click "Send Notification" to open the form.
  2. Select the notification type (Announcement, Leave, Attendance, Review, System).
  3. Choose recipients — select specific employees from the dropdown.
  4. Enter a title and message.
  5. Set priority — Normal or Urgent.
  6. Click "Send" to deliver the notification instantly.
